Before Dartmouth: Lane spent the 1993-94 season playing for both the Nobles Bulldogs of the Independant School League and the Chelmsford Lions. She was a Co-Captain of the Nobles team and an Assistant Captain of the Chelmsford team.

While at Dartmouth: Though her numbers donıt do her justice, Jenıs role with her teammates is unquestioned, as she was voted a captain for the 1997-98 season. She has been a key figure in Dartmouthıs four-player rotation on defense for three years, but this season she will be counted on to provide leadership as the Big Green adds another pairing at the blueline. Last year, Jen was scoreless but contributed eight assists for a career-high eight points in playing all 30 games. Sophomore year, she played in all 32 contests and tallied three points, and at the end of the season she was voted winner of the Unsung Player Award by her teammates. A versatile player, Jen can also be used to shore up either the offensive or defensive corps. Crowe feels that she is a perfect player for the system Dartmouth uses, and considers her smarts and game sense to be her strengths. As a freshman, Jen played in every game and scored seven points. Personal Notes: Born Jennifer E.
