The NEWISA Senior Bowl was contested on Saturday, December 4, 2004 at Framingham State College. Almost all of the 40 invited players from universities and colleges from Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Rhode Island and Connecticut as well as Massachusetts came to play in this fine event organized by Tom McGuinness and the members of the NEWISA Executive Committee.

 

Bryant coach Chris Flint coached the “Team Patrick” team which included Toni Pantuosco, Kendal Cox, Kim Rikart, Kristen Harmon, Christine Kalukiewicz, Michelle Mason, Erica Leno, Denise Thomas, Kelly Shimmin, Christina Thoeresz, Jen Ferrari, Leah Walters, Beth Vachon, Laurie Lamoureux, Jess Mulson, Tracie Lukert, Lindsey Parks, Liz Wheeler and Caroline Cooney.

 

Peter Kim who is women's coach at Middlebury coached team “Gang Green”.  Els Van Woort, Marcy Ansley, Kim Mendoza, Lisa Tesbert, Michelle Rhodes, Kathy Lemeiras, Liza Barber, Alisha Moran, Beth Odian, Mayo Fujii, Brittany Cronin, Sarah Gelb, Jen Baldwin, Anna Stanton, Satya Twena, Erin Duffy, Beth Caromille and Erin Brennan powered the “Gang Green”s.

 

The game was spirited and well officiated.  Rachel Woo was in the middle and was assisted by Syrus Ataii and Gus St. Silva.  After a fairly equal first have “Gang Green” came on strong in the second half to secure the win.

 

Jen Baldwin and Laurie Lamoureux had a reunion of sorts at the game.  Both were members of CRU Sparks (1982-G1) and were teammates for several state cup championships. A third member of Dick Dawson's championship team, Maura Robertson, was not able to attend the game.

 

Laurie who has been a force at Merrimack College over the past 4 years was named to the NEWISA Division II ALL New England First Team and Tufts outstanding striker Jen Baldwin was named to this years Division III ALL New England Second Team. Maura was selected to the NEWISA Division I ALL New England Second Team for her leadership at Providence College.
